Worcester City CPC approves minutes, FY25 administrative report and annual Coalition dues

The Worcester City Community Preservation Committee on Sept. 16 voted to approve three sets of meeting minutes, accepted the committee's fiscal year 2025 administrative expenditures report and authorized payment of the Community Preservation Coalition annual dues for FY26.

The committee unanimously approved the June 10 and June 12 public hearing minutes and the June 17 award meeting minutes after a motion by Barry Frickin and a second from Eric Stratton. The committee then voted to accept the FY25 administrative expenditures report following a motion by Eric Stratton and a second by Frank Callahan. Finally, the committee approved payment of the Community Preservation Coalition dues for fiscal year 2026 after a motion by Eric Stratton and a second by Frank Callahan. No recorded roll-call tallies were given in the public transcript; the chair called for and received voice votes of "aye," and declared the motions approved.

The minutes approval came early in the meeting. Jacqueline Burmeister, community preservation manager, presented the FY25 administrative expenditures report and explained the figures that the committee accepted. Burmeister told the committee that $113,873.11 had been spent on administrative items in FY25 from an approved administrative budget of $237,948.00 and that, "as required by state law, the balance of this fund of about a $124,073.98 will roll back into the CPA budgeted reserve, for use in the next fiscal year." She also described a $7,900 invoice from the Community Preservation Coalition for membership dues and noted that because it is an administrative item over $1,000 it required committee approval.

Motions recorded in the meeting transcript were procedural approvals of committee business; there were no recorded dissenting votes in the transcript for these items.

The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn by Frank Callahan, seconded and approved by voice vote.
