Snohomish County Council on May 28 approved a motion authorizing the county executive to sign a security maintenance agreement with Siemens Industry Inc., a contract not to exceed $1,000,000 over the three-year original term to service security systems at multiple county properties.
Deb Lisonbee Bell, council staff, said the proposed motion would “approve and authorize the county executive to sign the agreement for security maintenance with SyPass Services between Snohomish County and Siemens Industry Inc. For any subsequent amendments with the approved budget under Snohomish County code 3.04 0.14, paragraph 11. The not to exceed amount is $1,000,000 for the life of the original term of 3 years and is a product of the county procurement process, SS dash 2 3 dash double o 7 r b, for services covering 22 separate county properties.” She described covered services as including inspection and annual testing, preventative maintenance, video imaging and badging equipment, repair and replacement services, technical training, education services and support services.
Council approved motion 25-250 by voice vote with no dissents. The agreement authorizes the county executive to sign the contract and to approve subsequent amendments within the approved budget authority; the staff report references the county procurement number and a not-to-exceed cap but does not include line-item budget details in the public record excerpt.
