The position is jointly funded by Mountlake Terrace and the city of Lynnwood; Snohomish County will supervise the social worker. The contract includes $42,330 in 2025 program year expenses, and staff said a contract amendment will outline 2026 costs once known.
When asked, staff clarified that the Lynnwood arrangement was a separate agreement approved earlier and that this Mountlake Terrace item covers the remaining 0.5 FTE and program expenses. The motion was moved and seconded by Councilmember Nehring and Councilmember Mead and passed with five ayes.
The staff presentation did not specify the social worker’s detailed duties or a deployment schedule beyond the supervisory and funding structure described.
