The Snohomish County Council on June 11 unanimously approved motion 25-272, authorizing Amendment 11 to the Amanda permit‑tracking software license to add 500 professional hours at a cost of $75,000 for additional enhancements in 2025.
Council staff said the citizen portal portion of the Amanda implementation was completed in December 2024 but required further customization. “Proposed amendment adds 500 professional hours at a cost of $75,000 to the existing contract, allowing for the development and customization to be completed in 2025,” staff said. The Department of Planning and Development Services (PDS) has funding available in the restricted technology fund approved budget to cover the cost.
The motion was moved and seconded by Councilmember Nehring and Councilmember Mead and passed unanimously with five ayes. The staff presentation did not include a detailed timeline for the 500 hours or a vendor name beyond the Amanda software reference.
