County OKs $500,000 contract with Trowbridge LLC for in‑water debris removal

The Snohomish County Council unanimously approved motion 25-267 on June 11 authorizing the county executive to sign a professional services agreement with Trowbridge LLC for up to $500,000 for drift and large‑wood debris removal in county waterways.
Council staff told the council that Public Works Road Maintenance no longer has the equipment necessary to remove large wood debris and floatable material from in‑water piers and columns, and that Trowbridge was the only respondent to the county’s RFQ 205-0386RB. “Proposed motion 25 dash 2 6 7 would approve and authorize the county executive to sign the professional services agreement ... with Trowbridge LLC in the amount of $500,000,” staff said.
The motion also authorizes the director of public works or a designee to approve administrative amendments that do not increase the agreement dollar amount, under Snohomish County Code 3.04.14, subparagraph 11. The county did not provide a schedule for work or details on anticipated river reaches to be cleared during the meeting.
The motion was moved and seconded by Councilmember Nehring and Councilmember Mead and passed with a unanimous aye vote by the five members present.
