A staff speaker (Mr. Ernst) told commissioners that Floyd & Driver had submitted a proposal and that city staff had worked with the firm previously on bond counsel and financial matters. He said the firm’s members and associates have municipal experience, including work for other Oklahoma cities.
Commissioner motion and recorded votes approved the appointment. Following the vote, the appointed representative thanked the council for stepping in on short notice and said they look forward to working with the city.
No terms of the contract, fee schedule or start date were read into the record during the meeting; staff recommended the firm based on prior working relationships and experience.
