She said those pickup counts translated to 11,228 meals distributed to pick‑up recipients (this total excludes meals served to students eating at schools, parks, and Harris County High School).
Miss Baker explained each pick‑up includes seven days of breakfast and seven days of lunch (14 meals per person). She thanked volunteers and staff for handling the volume and said pickup distribution hours are 10 a.m. to noon.
Board members praised the program and thanked nutrition staff and volunteers for the service.
