Commission approves repainting, trim repair and cedar fence at 7–9 Oxford Street

The Worcester Historical Commission on Sept. 4 granted a certificate of appropriateness for work at 7 and 9 Oxford Street in the Crown Hill Local Historic District, allowing repainting, trim repairs, driveway repaving and installation of a six-foot cedar stockade fence with pressure-treated posts.
Owner Don Pham told the commission the project will repaint both houses in their current colors, repair any rotten wood, and repave an existing driveway; the houses will not be expanded. Mr. Pham also said the fence will be cedar stockade, six feet tall, with pressure-treated posts and will match existing neighborhood materials.
There was no public comment and commissioners voted in favor. The commission’s motion found the proposed changes appropriate for the Crown Hill Local Historic District; the vote passed unanimously.
