District says high school (Danville) construction largely on time and under budget

Robbie said the project team has set a final inspection for July and is trying to finish earlier than the contract date; he noted he did not expect the contractor to meet the October contract date but that many areas were already assembled or installed. He reported the project was about $300,000 under budget.
Interior updates included installed cafeteria equipment, library shelving and furniture, completed classroom flooring in most hallways, science labs furnished and special-education classroom modifications with an attached bathroom and changing area. Robbie said flooring remained to be installed in the gym ancillary areas (band room, concession stand, bathrooms) and in the main administration "Grand Central" area where hallways meet.
Athletics and site work: staff said a Phase 2 contractor, Game Day, is scheduled to install turf, fencing, bleachers, a press box and lights; staff expect that Phase 2 work to be finished by July given dry weather. Robbie described completed concrete pads for new bleachers and press-box pads and said concession and team facilities are being finished.
