"Typically, the way we've done this is kind of just open it up, ... have people fill up a questionnaire, and then at the meeting give a couple minutes presentation and go from there," the mayor said. An alderperson moved to start the process and to schedule a nomination for the July meeting.
Council members did not name the appointee at the June meeting; the action taken was to start the process and to schedule the appointment timeline. Staff will publish application instructions and handle logistics for questionnaires and presentations ahead of the July meeting.
