The superintendent described a new courtyard area and a large new gymnasium; next to the gym, a multipurpose room was highlighted. Staff told the committee the multipurpose room should be complete by February 2026 and that, beginning in February, students would eat lunch there — the presenter noted the room would need to accommodate roughly 300 students for lunch service.
Interior photos showed classroom drywall, HVAC, sprinklers and electrical nearing completion; windows were described as installed and classrooms “almost” ready. The superintendent described close coordination among contractors: she noted a construction-launch meeting and said district staff had counted hundreds of on-site tradespeople in many different specialties.
Committee members praised the workmanship and the speed of progress. The superintendent also thanked many administrators, staff and town partners for their support during the multi-year project.
No committee action was required during the report; staff will continue construction, and committee members are invited to return for site visits as work continues.
