Council Member Wall pulled the crosswalk item for brief comment and invited Hassan Farquhade, chair of the circulation committee, to speak. Farquhade said the project has generated "positive feedback from people," including parents who use the crosswalk, and called the improvement a "simple accommodation that increases safety" and encourages pedestrian activity.
On item 6, a resolution updating FEMA authorization, Town Manager Jason Ledbetter said the change was prompted by a post‑retirement administrative update to authorized signers; staff recommended replacing the prior signer after Kevin Bryant’s retirement so FEMA and state OES grant processes correctly recognize the current authorized signatory. The council approved the resolution by roll call.
Both consent items passed by unanimous roll call without further amendment.
