The Allegany County Personnel Committee on June 4 approved a resolution to accept and appropriate a donation to benefit the county veterans service office and veterans in need.

A presenter (pitching for the absent legislator) said the donation was received by Michael Bunk and is intended to be used by the veterans service office "for services to veterans in need." Committee members moved and seconded the resolution and voted to accept the donation.

The committee did not provide a dollar amount in the meeting; the donation will be used by the veterans service office as indicated by the presenter.
