The Whiteland Town Council authorized staff to enter a water-main extension agreement with the Culver's project and to accept associated easements for stormwater, drainage, water hydrant and meters, contingent on attorney review. Staff said the developer would pay the costs of extending water service and installing associated infrastructure.
The item had been pulled from an earlier draft agenda but was reinstated under the director of administration's report. Council discussion confirmed that the town would not bear the cost of the water-main extension; the developer would pay for the work and provide easements to the town. The motion to approve was subject to attorney review and passed on a roll-call vote (ayes recorded as Tim Brown, Joe Sailor, Brad Goedecker, Deborah Hendrickson).
