Engineer Cathy Nicholas said paving was finished with side‑road approaches completed and shoulder work underway. The paving corridor is almost five miles long, and crews are installing shoulder rock and final touches.
Nicholas also briefed the board on a large box‑culvert replacement on Dubuque Road that began June 9. The culvert is being formed and poured in the field (cast‑in‑place) and is expected to take approximately three months, meaning the road will remain closed for most of the summer. Detour signage is in place and staff said they will keep the board and the public posted on schedule and access.
No formal action was required; the board acknowledged the project updates and staff availability for questions.
