Following an executive session for personnel evaluation, the Denison City Council voted to increase interim city manager Bobby Berry’s base pay by 4 percent, retroactive to Oct. 1, 2024.

Councilmember Adams moved to propose the 4 percent raise for Berry with retroactivity to Oct. 1, 2024; Councilman Thorne seconded the motion. The council approved the motion by voice vote.

The action was taken after the council met in executive session under the Texas Government Code to conduct the annual review of the interim city manager. No further salary details beyond the 4 percent figure were discussed in open session.
