The Yukon Planning Commission on June 9 recommended approval of a final plat for a parcel at 16300 West Highway 66 that would divide the property into five lots, subject to conditions specified in the staff report.
George Marquez of Civil and Environmental Consultants said the final plat follows an earlier preliminary plat and that the subdivision will allow additional buildings on the property. Commissioners and staff discussed two conditions recorded in the staff report: revising the lot area for Lots 3 and 4 to exclude the Gregory Road right‑of‑way, and revising the plat to show the extent of limits of no access along the south property boundary.
Commissioners asked for clarification about an applicant request that Gregory Road improvements not be required; staff and the applicant indicated that the request was detailed in item 9 of the packet and cited the rural and industrial nature of the site and that half the road belongs to Oklahoma City as reasons for the request. The commission amended the motion to explicitly include language about the applicant’s request and the matter was included among the conditions.
The motion to recommend approval, with the listed conditions including the Gregory Road clarifications, passed unanimously: Wright, Geiss, Knuckles, Jones and Clark all voted yes. The recommendation will be forwarded to the Yukon City Council.
