Staff reports property cleanups and permits following Board of Adjustment orders

During the Feb. 27 meeting, a staff member identified as Pat provided an update on code-enforcement follow-ups for properties previously before the Board of Adjustment. Pat said several owners responded to board orders by raising and removing structures, pulling permits, or beginning cleanup work.
Pat reported the following status updates: 122 West Seventh — owner raised and removed the structure but still needs to remove the foundation slab; 120–122 West Tenth — owner removed building per board order but still must remove two accessory structures and a slab; 24 North Avenue A — owner tore down the structure and staff said the site looked improved; 1719 West Ninth — owner pulled permits and contractors have done interior work though the exterior remained boarded; 922 West Twelfth — contractor pulled a permit on the 29th of last month and work is underway; 12221 Yellowstone — the compliance deadline runs until March 27 and staff is in close communication and said the city may remove the property if the owner does not complete required work.
"These are before and after. The owner actually raised and removed it herself," Pat said about 122 West Seventh, and offered similar progress notes for the other addresses. Pat said she has visited job sites and has been in contact with contractors and owners to ensure compliance.
Board members thanked staff for the enforcement work. The transcript records no new motions on these updates; these were status reports on enforcement cases originating from prior board orders.
