The Warren County Finance and Budget Committee approved several agenda items during its meeting.
The committee approved a transfer of $7,500 as presented (moved by Supervisor Stroud, seconded by Supervisor Mayday) and accepted the monthly general-report transfers approved by the county administrator for April 2025.
The committee approved a referral to establish a capital project (H-443) for the northern aircraft taxiway B reconstruction design at the county airport. The project introduction was by Supervisor Jurachi with Supervisor Cressido noted as a co-introducer; the design amount referenced was $221,898.
Budget amendments reflecting receipt of new grant awards were approved: a 2025 Public Health budget amendment in the amount of $221,130 to reflect grant funding for public health infrastructure, workforce and data systems (introduced by Supervisor Driscoll, seconded by Supervisor Mayday), and a Department of Social Services amendment of $126,003.79 from the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance to provide rental assistance to qualifying individuals (introduced by Supervisor Molina, seconded by Supervisor Cressido).
The committee returned funding previously set aside for a special election back to the 1990 contingent account, and it approved an appropriation of $14,000 from the A-895 computer reserve fund to purchase computers and related equipment for the Department of Information Technology.
Each item was moved, seconded and recorded as "all in favor" during the meeting; the committee chair called the questions and the items carried.
Ending: Committee members asked that some departmental variance reports include explanatory causes and corrective steps going forward; department heads and the treasurer’s office were asked to provide follow-up where questions were raised.
