Skate park design contract approved; final sign‑off pending cost‑share agreement and Land/Water review

Pacific — The SWT design contract for the Jeffrey White Memorial Skate Park has cleared board approval but remains conditional on administrative steps: attorney review, a cost‑share agreement and Land and Water Conservation’s final acceptance.

At the June 3 meeting city staff said the board had approved the SWT design contract by resolution at a prior meeting. City Attorney Jones confirmed he had reviewed and approved the contract text and that the contract would be sent to Land and Water Conservation for final review.

Officials said Attorney Jones returned revisions to the cost‑share agreement and that the parties may schedule another review if they wish. The board’s resolution approving the SWT design contract noted the contract signature was pending completion of the cost‑share agreement; staff said they expect to bring the finalized contract back for signature on or about June 17–18.

Aldermen described working cooperatively with SWT on revisions. “SWT was great to work with on that contract. I suggested a number of revisions, and they were cooperative,” one alderman said.
