Covington reports signed contracts for downtown drainage overlay and South New Hampshire repaving

The same staff member said a separate contract has been signed for repaving South New Hampshire Street.
The staff member said subsurface drainage issues in the downtown area will be repaired before the overlay is installed and that construction is expected to cause traffic disruptions downtown during the work. The contracts and work are being handled by Public Works; the staff member encouraged patience during construction and noted that repaving will smooth conditions on South New Hampshire Street.
