Jackson County board approves FY2026 RCTP awards for four cities

The Jackson County Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to approve Fiscal Year 2026 RCTP awards for four cities, allocating $25,000 to Miles for street resurfacing, $7,380 to Baldwin for street repairs, $25,000 to Monmouth for Division Street resurfacing and $12,620 to Bellevue for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements.
County staff told the board that city applications were sent to ECIA for review and scoring and that ECIA recommended the four projects. County staff and supervisors said each city must provide a local match — roughly 20 percent, though the exact match varies by project — and that the ECIA scoring and project pictures were provided to the board for review.
During discussion, board members pressed for confirmation that matches exist and that ECIA had graded and ranked the submissions; staff confirmed both. Supervisor Nen Fuego moved to approve the FY2026 RCTP funding as recommended; Supervisor Mike Steinas seconded. The board approved the motion by voice vote.
The authorization instructs staff to proceed with distributing the awards and documenting local matches as required by the RCTP process. The board did not set additional conditions on the awards during the meeting.
