OPRF Board approves consent agenda including $149,312 technology purchase and prom contract

Key approvals recorded in the motion included a one-year extension of a consortium agreement with Oak Park and "Rose Doris" High School and districts 90 and 87; the expenditure of $149,312 for the refresh of 100 Lenovo ThinkBook staff computers; $69,129 for a Canon branded multifunction copier; and a prom contract with the Hyatt Regency Chicago at a minimum cost of $68,000.
The consent motion also authorized an intergovernmental agreement extension with District 97 for provision of first-rate comparable meals for the 2025-26 school year, approved an excavating project located by ComEd with an estimated cost of $117,648, extended a student extracurricular contract, accepted a donation of candy for teacher appreciation, and approved the March 2025 treasury report and April/May 2025 check disbursements and payroll resolution for June 2025.
The roll-call vote recorded in the meeting transcript shows the following board members voting "yes": Mister Granovost, Mister Burgess, Doctor Livingston, Doctor O'Dell, Mister Brison, Mister Arkin and Mister Langdon. The motion passed on the recorded vote.
Board minutes released after the meeting will contain the final record and any contract details; the board did not single out any item in the motion for separate discussion or amendment during the May 22 session.
For transparency, the consent agenda items listed in the motion text (A'N) also included approval of personnel recommendations, revisions to a safe-school resolution, and authorization to destroy certain closed-session audio tapes from July 2023 as permitted under district policy.
