The presenting staff member confirmed the lock fee applies to graders and agreed to revise the fee table to make that clear.
One board member asked whether the $15 charge for locks was appropriate and noted that comparable quality locks could be purchased for about $10–$13 online; the member said the district may have built-in replacement costs and stock for damaged locks in setting the fee. No change was made to the approved amount after that exchange.
A motion was made and the board voted “aye”; the motion carried unanimously. Staff will update the published fee schedule to indicate that the PE lock fee applies to graders only and will implement the change for the upcoming school year.
