Sheila Martin, who identified herself as a member of the Rodeo Committee and an ex officio city representative, said the weeklong Pioneer Days event generated a little over $20,000 this year and that rain on Friday reduced attendance compared with previous years. She also said a few lighting fixtures were installed after the event to correct issues that arose during setup.
A motion to issue the final payment passed with four ayes recorded in the meeting minutes. No council member objected to the payment. The Chamber was not present at the council table; council members asked for an event analytics report, but the final figures were not available in the meeting packet and staff said the attendance/revenue summary would be provided later.
