City launches housing needs survey; officials urge developers and public to respond

Tom Moxt, the city’s housing needs survey community director, told the Marshfield Common Council on June 10 that the city has published a housing needs survey to gather input from developers, lenders, employers, realtors and property owners as part of a housing strategy.
“The survey is currently now available online, and I'm encouraging, the public as well as anyone here, to take the survey,” Tom said. He said the housing committee will close the survey toward the end of the month prior to its next meeting.
Moxt described five separate survey modules that together collect comprehensive input on development trends and available resources. He said the quickest way to participate is by visiting the city website under communications or by entering publicinput.com/backslashmarshfieldhousing in a browser; he told council staff he would post the survey to the city’s front page to increase visibility.
No formal action was required; staff asked council members to share the survey link and encourage stakeholder participation to inform the city’s sustainability housing strategy.
