YCC Family Crisis Center tells Weber County Commission it provides free, confidential domestic-violence services

Danette Stanger, executive director of YCC Family Crisis Center, told the Weber County Commission that the nonprofit provides free, confidential services for victims in Weber and Morgan counties and operates a 24-hour crisis line.

Stanger said YCC is entering its eightieth year of serving the community and described the range of services the agency offers. “Our services are free and confidential, and they're all encompassing. Whether you're someone that needs emergency shelter or you wanna come by and talk to someone about a protective order or case management or join 1 of our support groups or seek therapy, we are here to support victims along anywhere that they are on their path,” she said.

Stanger gave the commission practical contact details for the agency. She said YCC is located at 2261 Adams Avenue, on the corner of 20th and Adams, and that people may walk in or call the crisis line at (801) 394-9456. She also noted the agency’s 24-hour crisis line and said YCC can work with or without law enforcement involvement.

A member of the Weber County Commission thanked Stanger and staff for the partnership. “The YCC has been a phenomenal partner, a phenomenal resource, a safe place … especially for women and children,” the commission member said, praising the center’s role in helping residents leave abusive situations.
