Local detox center reports 43 admissions May 13–June 10, ongoing outreach with partners

Staff from SCAN briefed coalition members on admissions and client needs at the local detox and recovery center and described continuing outreach and partnership work.

Frankie, a SCAN representative, said the recovery center recorded 43 admissions between May 13 and June 10, with 37 male and six female admissions during that span. Frankie reported 28 clients with co-occurring (dual) diagnoses and 19 clients with hepatitis C; he said total admissions since Oct. 1 were 275.

"We have as of today, we have 14," Frankie said when asked how many people were currently in the center, identifying the in-house census at the time of the meeting.

Frankie and Clarissa said the center conducts outreach with partners including AMA, SME and other SCAN programs to connect clients with services. Coalition members asked about current census and services; staff confirmed ongoing outreach but did not provide a written bed- or staffing-capacity chart during the presentation.

The report focused on service counts and partner outreach rather than funding specifics or regulatory constraints. Coalition members did not take a formal action during the presentation; staff said they would continue to update the group at future meetings.
