Council approves Butler Fairman Seifert contract for Gateway Park Phase 2 inspections, sets July 31 completion target

On June 11 the Town of Whitestown approved an agreement for professional services with Butler Fairman Seifert, Inc., to provide inspection services for Gateway Park Phase 2, authorizing an expenditure exceeding $25,000 and not to exceed $64,000.
Dominic Cornett, assistant town manager, said the project is progressing and that staff has identified some issues that the inspection contract will address. “We found some issues, but that’s what this inspection contract is for. We’re looking at a July 31 completion date as well,” Cornett said.
A motion to approve the agreement was made, seconded and carried by voice vote; the council recorded the motion as passed 5-0. The contract was described as the town—s standard professional-services agreement for on-site inspections; no contract amendments were recorded at the meeting.
Staff said they will monitor the inspection work and report back to council as needed.
