The Eureka Union Board voted to approve the district's 2025'26 budget after a staff presentation and no public comment.
Mrs. Mercado presented the budget recommendation and said the budget package meets the state requirement to show how any funds above the ending fund balance would be spent. "As always, we do reserve that for economic uncertainties," she said.
Trustee Holt moved to approve the budget and Trustee Grover seconded the motion. The chair called the vote: "All those in favor, say aye." The motion carried with no recorded opposition.
Staff characterized this action as the district's regular annual budget adoption. No amendments, comment from the public, or substantive board changes to the spending plan were recorded in the meeting. The district will proceed with the budget as approved and maintain the stated reserve for contingencies.
