Weld County approves a bundle of public-health contracts and grant amendments totaling over $1.7 million

Brandon Williams, inmate services director for the Weld County Sheriff’s Office, presented a state reimbursement-style amendment to continue the jail-based behavioral services program for fiscal year 2026; he said the amount is $276,000 and the county will act as a pass-through entity to North Range. County staff described the state’s preference to use a letter agreement and reimbursement format for flexibility, and staff said they will monitor reimbursements closely.
Public health staff also presented an amendment to a task force order contract that provides $90,000 to continue field-delivered therapy primarily targeting syphilis and jail-based sexually transmitted infection control. The board approved contract ID 9546.
On women’s health, the board approved contract ID 9547 to add Intermountain Health Platte Valley Hospital (Brighton Community Hospital Association DBA Intermountain Health Platte Valley Hospital) as a provider for diagnostic imaging for the Women’s Wellness Connection program; staff said there is no county cost and the state reimburses the hospital for imaging services.
The board also approved a Townsquare Media contract (doing business as Ignite Townsquare Media, Fort Collins) for a $39,300 summer digital marketing campaign targeting substance-abuse messaging; county staff said the contract is wholly state-funded. Separately, the board approved amendment number 2 to the IGA for nurse-home visitor programming (Nurse Family Partnership), a grant-funded contract the county said totals $1,329,691.91 to continue services for prenatal and infancy visits up to age two.
