The Eureka Union Board on Monday approved the district's update and analysis of its Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) for 2025'26 and separately approved the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) local indicators for 2025.
Dr. Gina Myers presented the LCAP update and the local indicators, telling the board the materials were presented at a public hearing the previous Monday and that staff recommended approval of the annual update and the indicators. "If approved, they will be entered into the CDE Connect system and will be displayed along with CAST results ... in the school's dashboard website for public per use," Myers said during her presentation.
The board heard no public comment on either item. Trustee Holt moved to approve the LCAP update; Trustee Grover seconded the motion, and the chair called for the vote. "All those in favor? Aye. Any opposed? None." The motion carried. The board later approved the LCFF local indicators in a separate motion that also carried unanimously.
Board members asked no substantive changes to the documents on the floor during the meeting. The staff recommendation as presented will be posted to the California Department of Education (CDE) Connect system and reflected on the state'maintained school dashboard as described by staff.
The approvals finalize the district's self'evaluation and reporting for the coming year; staff said the local indicators are intended to be used in conjunction with the LCAP to monitor progress and propose remedies where needs are identified.
