City staff told the council that two awarded grants — a Snohomish County grant of $250,000 and a Washington State Department of Commerce award of $252,260 — together with potential local Recreation, Preservation and Beautification (RPB/ARPA) funds could fund design and construction work. Staff said the county grant is intended primarily for drainage repairs, pathways and a toddler play area; the commerce grant is designated to expand and modernize the veterans memorial.
