Court approves advertising bid and plans to fund museum driveway ADA work with hotel occupancy tax

Preliminary estimates placed the project above the county’s $50,000 competitive bid threshold. County staff said the Museum project qualifies as a tourism-related activity, which allows Hotel Occupancy Tax funds to be used; staff reported a current HOT reserve balance of $173,004.61 available for tourism projects.
The court voted to advertise the bid and to fund the project from HOT funds, preserving general-fund resources. The motion passed with no recorded opposition.
