The court approved a request to add a Form 2 position in Road & Bridge Precinct 4 and to transfer Larry Hensley from Precinct 2 to Precinct 4 effective June 16. The court also approved one-time discretionary bonus payouts from salary funds to Mackie Gibson in the amount of $1,096.10 and to Caleb Pitts in the amount of $1,583.63; staff said both employees had reached the top step (step 16) on the pay scale and were not eligible for further step increases.
Separately, the court approved the reclassification of the Human Resources Secretary II position to office manager and authorized staff to extend an offer to a highly qualified candidate ahead of the FY2026 budget year, saying sufficient funds were available in the current year because of vacancies.
The personnel items were contained in the packet and moved and approved by the court during the regular agenda. Commissioners indicated no emergency hires were reported in the personnel actions summary.
No objections were recorded during the votes on the listed personnel items.
