Board approves conveyance of former Eastbrook site to Waldorf School

The Los Altos School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve Resolution 24/25‑17 conveying the former Eastbrook School site to the Waldorf School of the Peninsula.
Eric Hornsby, representing district business staff, told the board the Waldorf School has been a district partner since 1995 and had leased and maintained the Eastbrook site. The district presented the deed and transfer documents and said legal counsel reviewed the conveyance process. "There'll be a resolution tonight; we'll be asking you to approve the conveyance of the former East Brook School site to the Waldorf School," Hornsby said.
Trustee Vladimir moved to approve the resolution and Trustee Stella seconded. The board took a roll‑call vote and the resolution passed unanimously.
District staff said the transfer follows a long‑standing lease and the Waldorf School’s exercise of an option to take ownership; the board packet included the conveyance documents and related legal review. No sale price or financing terms were discussed at the public hearing portion of the agenda.
The conveyance completes a decades‑long partnership between the district and the Waldorf School for use of the former Eastbrook campus; district officials said the paperwork is substantial and the district engaged counsel to ensure proper handling of deed transfer requirements.
