A contractor update to Page County officials said county B roads used for turbine access are stabilized, turbine access roads are mostly finished and foundation work in Page County is expected to start within about a week.
John Huff reported that “all the county B roads that we're utilizing are now stabilized” and that a couple of remaining turn radii need finishing before the infrastructure for the job is complete. He said turbine access roads were “nearing a 100% completion” of the rock surfacing and that excavation remained on schedule.
Huff told the board that crane components will arrive soon and be assembled, with erection projected to begin in about two weeks after arrival. He asked whether board members wanted anything relayed to the project office if a regular project contact (Kelsey) had not joined the meeting.
No formal county action was taken during the update; the briefing served to inform the board of schedule and local traffic and infrastructure impacts.
Board members asked whether area residents had questions; Huff said he had not received questions recently and that community concern appeared to have calmed. He did not provide an estimated completion date for the full project during the briefing.
