The Los Altos School District Board of Trustees unanimously adopted the 2025–26 district budget and approved Resolution No. 24/25‑18 authorizing year‑end transfers to balance accounts, the board said during its regular meeting.
The board approved the budget after a public‑hearing process and staff presentations. “We were given an opportunity during the public hearing process to get input and review the budget,” board presenters said, adding that required SACS forms were completed and criteria met.
Board members asked no substantive questions during the vote; the motion to adopt the budget was made by Vladimir and seconded by Stella and passed unanimously. The separate resolution allowing transfers between major accounts was described by staff as a routine, annual authorization that permits the district to move fund balances and place expenditures in the correct categories across district funds.
Board and staff emphasized that the AB 1200 financial disclosures related to employment contract amendments (addressed later in the meeting) had been prepared and that associated costs were already built into the adopted budget. The motion on the resolution was taken by roll call and recorded as unanimous.
