The Richmond Heights City Council on June 10 set a public hearing for June 24 on Ordinance 71-2025, which would create a new B3 commercial business district, and held related Ordinance 74-2025, a zoning map amendment, at first reading.
The measures would amend Chapter 1151 and Table 1151.03 of the codified ordinances to add permitted and conditionally permitted uses for a B3 district and to rezone certain properties. City officials said the ordinances require a public hearing before further consideration, so the council moved both items to the hearing stage.
A motion to schedule the June 24 hearing carried with affirmative votes from Councilmembers Jordan, Nelson, Robinson and Silver and Councilmember Ursu. The city did not provide the text of the amendments or a list of parcels included in the zoning map change at the June 10 meeting.
The ordinances remain at first reading; the council will receive public testimony and consider final action after the scheduled hearing.
