Jennifer Resk, a task force member, read a prepared nomination letter recommending Ellen Vaughn for the Mulholland award and described Vaughn’s environmental and community involvement, including service with Mound House and other local conservation groups. Resk acknowledged nominations were not yet open but asked the committee to consider the name if council approves a timing change.
Counselor King said he would bring the request to Town Council at its June 16 meeting. The chair said that if Council approves, town staff would prepare and distribute nomination forms.
No formal committee vote changed award rules at the June 11 meeting; the action described was a staff/council referral and member submission of a nomination letter for future processing should council authorize a timing change.
