Council awards Beaulieu Park tennis court reconstruction to Choice Builders LLC for $661,609

The McGregor City Council awarded the Beaulieu Park Tennis Court Reconstruction Project to Choice Builders LLC for $661,609 following a competitive bid process and a recommendation from Walker Partners.
Walker Partners reported that four competitive sealed proposals were opened on June 4; Choice Builders was the low bidder and received the highest weighted score after evaluations of price, company performance history and superintendent qualifications. A Walker Partners representative told the council the firm has worked with Choice Builders previously (in subcontract roles) and that many of Choice Builders’ past projects relate to parks and sports courts, making them “most qualified for this job.”
Council members had no substantive questions after Walker Partners’ summary, and the council approved the award by voice vote.
