Board members said the easement affects a narrow strip of land near Singing River Elementary and is intended to allow utility piping to be rerouted with minimal disruption to major thoroughfares. Staff said the easement acceptance is intended to prevent more disruptive work on neighborhood roads and to support timely infrastructure improvements essential to the reroute project. The board did not place additional conditions on the acceptance during the discussion.
