At the June 10 Seven Hills City Council meeting, Mayor Villasciaga gave a brief update on two neighborhood matters: a free city concert and activity at the Rockside development site.
The mayor said the city’s concert series continues this Friday at 6 p.m., with the band Funkology and a food truck scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. “The weather's great. I hope to see a large crowd there,” he said.
On the Rockside development, Villasciaga told council members and residents that site work is limited for now but that trucks may be on site this week to remove fallen trees and logs. “They said the ground is dried out… that'll be able to support the big trucks that have to go back there to move the logs,” he said. He said the grading permit that would allow land movement has not been granted and “I wouldn't expect any kind of land movement for 2 weeks, maybe 3.” He added the initial grading would move dirt from the front of the project to the back, in basic terms, and that the city will notify neighbors on social media when the grading permit is granted.
The mayor’s remarks were informational; no formal action was taken on the Rockside site during the meeting. The transcript does not describe permit conditions, the permit applicant, or the developer’s name beyond references to the Rockside area.
