Director Terry told the Community Services committee that the city’s portion of the “Thrills in the Hills” summer concert series begins Friday and that the city partnered with Broadview Heights for the overall series. She said the city was “represented there well by residents.”
Terry said the band Funkology will perform this week, the performance will begin at 6 p.m., and a food truck will be on site by 5:30 p.m. She reminded committee members that Home Days is coming in July and said she would speak individually with council members about participation options.
Councilmember Costanza asked how the newly formed 501(c)(3) — the 7 Hills Community Foundation — fared at a recent event called Ribbon Rock. Director Terry said the foundation is separate from the city, run by residents, and that volunteers sold beer tokens at Ribbon Rock and kept tip money to support the foundation’s goals. No fundraising totals were provided at the meeting.
No formal committee action was taken; the remarks were informational and event-focused.
