The Seven Hills Public Works committee voted to add consideration of the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District management plan ratification to the next council agenda after a presentation from Director Bridal.
Director Bridal told the committee the district’s management plan “takes effect next year to 2040,” that “there’s no increase in cost,” and that the plan requires approvals from 60% of member communities to move forward. He said the district’s 90-day ratification period ends on Aug. 10.
The vote to place the item on the next meeting agenda passed on a motion from a committee member and a second. The roll call recorded Snitsky, yes; Mauro, yes; Costanza, yes. Committee members asked no substantive follow-up questions during the session.
By adding the item to the council agenda, the matter will proceed through the council’s formal review. The committee did not adopt a policy position; it only approved placing the ratification on the agenda for full council consideration.
