Assistant City Attorney Tyler Loney read the ordinance title at first reading. City staff reported the property was purchased by the city in January 2025 and that there is no taxable value associated with the property; staff said a business‑impact estimate is not required for this ordinance. The item will return for a second reading and vote on June 23, 2025, staff said.
Although the first reading occurred tonight, staff invited public comment and said anyone wishing to speak could do so; no speakers were recorded on this first reading. The ordinance is intended to bring the identified parcel and adjacent unimproved right‑of‑way within city limits; staff recommendation was to approve the annexation at second reading.
