The circuit-wide committee accepted monthly and semiannual probation reports at its June 11, 2025 meeting, with staff reporting 156 active juvenile cases and 763 active adult caseloads across LaSalle, Bureau and Grundy counties and a total of 1,286 adults on probation for the semiannual period.
The committee’s probation staff presented the monthly juvenile totals: LaSalle County had 117 active juvenile cases and 10 administrative juvenile cases; Bureau County had 19 active juvenile cases and four administrative juvenile cases; and Grundy County had 20 active juvenile cases and one administrative juvenile case. Staff said the circuit total for active juvenile caseloads was 156, with 15 total juvenile administrative cases and 171 juveniles on probation for the reported month.
On adult supervision, staff reported LaSalle County had 514 active adult cases and 276 administrative adult cases; Bureau County had 114 active adult cases and 46 administrative adult cases; and Grundy County had 135 active adult cases and 201 administrative adult cases. The staff-reported circuit totals were 763 active adult cases and 523 administrative adult cases.
Staff also gave figures for probation fee orders and collections. For May 2025, LaSalle County probation fees ordered were reported as $6,300, with $6,354.47 collected that month and $32,114.98 collected year-to-date. Bureau County reported $750 ordered for May and $649 collected that month; Grundy County reported $8,900 ordered for May with $2,680.02 collected that month and $19,511.35 collected to date. For the semiannual period (Dec. 1, 2024–May 31, 2025), staff reported LaSalle ordered $57,300 and collected $32,114.98 to date; Bureau ordered $10,200 and collected $5,504 to date; and Grundy (reported as “Brandy” in the transcript) showed $32,729 ordered and $15,222.29 collected to date. The transcript included an inconsistent circuit total reported as $102,229,000; staff materials and earlier line-item figures indicate the intended circuit total ordered is $102,229, and the larger figure appears to be a transcription error.
The committee voted to accept the monthly department reports and the semiannual reports. The chair called for the motions and the membership approved the reports by voice vote.
The committee packet included additional context on residential placements: staff said the only current residential juvenile placement listed was at Focus House, with a per-day cost reported as $250; staff noted an overpayment to Focus House that the provider is reimbursing. The meeting closed with the committee setting its next meeting for July 9 at 10 a.m.
