"The 08:00 thing, it is, like, near to, impossible for us to do," Paulson told commissioners, explaining that summer shows often start later and end around 10 p.m. He said the venue has run events for more than a decade without complaints and that the change would allow rodeo events to finish after dusk when temperatures are cooler.
Staff recommended approval of the modification to extend the amplified‑sound cutoff to 10 p.m. The commission moved, seconded and voted to approve the change; the motion carried with "all in favor" recorded in the transcript.
Other existing conditions remain in place, including coordination with the Fire Marshal on access and safety, parking requirements, limits on weddings (excluded), and ensuring events do not exceed the property's parking capacity.
