“Doing a project of this particular nature is just beyond the resources of the community to take on,” Karis (DPW) told the board, describing the 1.3‑mile corridor from Webster Street south to Great Plain Avenue. The town wants to address signal timing and intersection operation, pedestrian and bicycle accommodations, stormwater drainage and pavement condition together rather than in separate one‑off projects.
