The Warrenton Board of Aldermen voted 6-0 Tuesday to reallocate $527,161.80 toward a new deep well project and to approve contracts totaling $3,885,741.20 for Well No. 10, including a well house, a water storage tank, a 12-inch water main and drilling work.
Public Works Director Guy Jeevers told the board the reallocation was needed because the well project was over budget and that the well project took priority over another water-line project. "The well is more important than that right there," Jeevers said. He gave the total project cost as $3,885,741.20.
